Serijal „Šira slika": o trgovini ljudima, sudbini žrtava i aktivistima anti-trafiking zajednice

Human trafficking

The serial "A Wider Picture" reveals the facts about the modern-day slavery or human trafficking, the hardship of its victims and presents the work of activists from the anti-trafficking community.

Human trafficking as a phenomenon of modern slavery currently affects tens of millions people worldwide. The serial "A Wider Picture" covers all aspects of this alarming crime, the new trends of this modern slavery and a cruel destiny faced by those of its victims who consent to bear witness about their fate, as well as presenting the messages and information which may help to keep the favorite targets of these dealers of human beings – mostly young people and children – as far as possible from any risk.

Today everyone can become a victim of human traffickers. That's why the serial "A Wider Picture" bares a commonly believed myth that human trafficking in persons happens somewhere else, far from our country or from our eyes. All activists included into the anti-trafficking community actually the government institutions, the organizations which are designed to provide support to victims, lawyers, psychotherapists and other professionals, witness that victims of human trafficking are not foreign citizens, allegedly women coming from Moldavia or Ukraine and accidentally ended in the trafficking chain in Serbia. The victims are our citizens and human trafficking happens in our country and in the majority of cases the victims are children and youth.

Tens of interviews we have got for a Wider Picture confirm an unambiguous trend – today everyone can become a victim of human trafficking.
